THE ZUTONS
Their new album made the top ten, they had their first UK tour for two years and they've spent the summer playing all the big festivals, including Glastonbury. But as a die-hard Liverpook fan, The Zutons' lead sinter Dave McCabe is just delighted that the new football season is back. Just don't tell him you think they'll win the League! Here are Dave's thoughts on the following -
Feeling like an Evertonian
I'm happy to have the new season back, but I don't think we're going to win. I just think we don't have enough cash. I haven't got my hopes up! I feel more like an Evertonian! They'll probably win more than us! The thing with Everton is if they win something, they're proud about it. We win something and it's like we've got to go and win everything else. It does my head in. You've got to be real.
Benitez
I'm a fan of Benitez in Europe, but not in the League. I think he needs to play the same side every week and stop changing all the time. And his goatee is sound! Max and Paddy and all that, it looks great!
Robbie Keane
I reckon he could be dead good, but he needs to stop being so eager! He's too Keane, wahey! He seems like he gives his all. But Torres seems to be the saviour, and if he gets injured we're in trouble.
Boardroom wranglings
It's going to go on forever, they just don't like each other, it's plain to see! Why did they let Americans take over the club? Manchester United were the biggest example, but you never hear anything about the Glazers now do you? Because they've won everything.
